A espiritualidade do apóstolo Paulo. Vencer os obstáculos, sem perder a ternura

Resumo

Relendo a trajetória espiritual de são Paulo, os autores redescobrem nele a natureza missionária da Igreja. Foi o encontro com Cristo que lhe deu a espiritualidade de uma nova vida. Uma incontida Boa Nova! Para anunciá-la gratuitamente, pois que gratuitamente a recebera, passa a “trabalhar com as próprias mãos”, contrastando o sonho dominante da época e anunciando que esta Boa Nova e seu anúncio estão ao alcance de todos, escravos incluídos. A certeza da Ressurreição e da presença atuante do Espírito do Senhor, bem como a vivência do amor, que tudo ilumina e jamais passará, permite-lhe enfrentar dificuldades e oposições e encontrar soluções criativas no vigor e na ternura da nova criatura em Cristo.

Abstract: Reading St.Paul’s spiritual trajectory once more the authors rediscover in him the missionary nature of the Church. It was his encounter with Christ that gave him the spirituality of a new life. Unrestrained Good Tidings! In order to announce it gratuitously as it was gratuitously received, he starts to “work with his own hands” in contrast with the dream predominant at the time and announcing that these Good Tidings and their announcement were available to all, including the slaves. The certainty of the Resurrection and the active presence of the Lord’s Spirit, as well as the experience of the love that illuminates all and will never end, allowed him to face the difficulties and oppositions and to find creative solutions in the strength and tenderness of the new creature in Christ.
